KNOW YOUR LOT
Every number — and every note — behind this coffee, published. Tap a metric to see what it means and why it matters.
Where this coffee comes from
Malawi brings a lesser-known East African coffee heritage, while Uganda has a long-established and deeply rooted coffee culture. Together, they showcase the diversity and growing potential of African coffee origins.
Where within the origin it was grown
Rumphi in northern Malawi is an established coffee-growing region known for its mountainous terrain and distinctive coffees, while Masaka in southern Uganda contributes its own unique regional character. Together, they bring two different East African origins into this coffee.
Who grew or produced this coffee
This blend is crafted in-house by The Brew Crew, bringing together carefully selected coffees to create a profile that is intentional, balanced, and distinctly our own.
The coffee variety grown / What this blend is made from
This coffee combines multiple coffee varieties rather than a single variety, allowing the characteristics of each to come together and shape the final cup.
How high this coffee was grown
The coffees in this blend are grown across elevations of 1,200–1,500 metres above sea level, reflecting the different growing environments of the two components.
How the coffee was processed after harvest
In natural processing, coffee cherries are dried whole with the fruit still surrounding the seed. This extended contact with the fruit often produces sweeter, fruit-forward flavours and a fuller, more expressive cup.
How far we developed the roast
A dark roast brings greater intensity and body to the cup, with deeper roasted and caramelised flavours taking centre stage. It’s ideal for those who prefer a bold, rich and full-flavoured coffee.
How we think this coffee shines best
Best extracted as espresso, where its sweetness, body, and intensity can shine through in a concentrated cup. Its fuller profile also makes it an excellent choice for milk-based drinks.
